Andi Dorfman, 'Bachelor' Lawyer, Playing Dumb on the Set? (Video)

By    |   Thursday, 16 January 2014 09:16 AM EST

Andi Dorfman, one of the early frontrunners on this season of "The Bachelor," makes her living taking down gangs and organized crime as a federal prosecutor in Atlanta but the 26-year-old appears to be "playing dumb" for the sake of the ABC reality show.

Dorfman, a Wake Forest University School of Law graduate, is a lawyer with the Fulton County District Attorney's Office in Atlanta and, in courtroom video obtained this week by TMZ, presents herself as knowledgeable, tough, confident, and smart. The footage was from a murder trial against ex-mobster Mani Chulpayev, according to MSN's Wonderwall.

But in last week's season premiere of "The Bachelor," which features single dad and former pro Venezuelan soccer player Juan Pablo Galavis' quest for love, Dorfman affected a ditzy, Kim Kardashian-like purr and insisted that she doesn't "have the patience to read."

"Like I'm in court, doin' it, sending people to jail. I'm not reading that much. I don't like to read," she said.

Which begs the question — did Dorfman play up her ditzy side for the "Bachelor" cameras?

"'Legally Blonde' springs to mind — and it raises the question ... Does a girl have to dumb herself down in order to attract a guy?" TMZ questioned.

Regardless, Dorfman has emerged as an early frontrunner, scoring the endorsements of many Twitter users.
