Andrea Sneiderman Trial: Did Wife Get Her Boss To Kill Husband?

Andrea Sneiderman, whose husband was gunned down by her boss and alleged lover, is slated to appear before a jury in August on murder charges for her husband's death.

Sneiderman, 35, is accused of playing a fatal role in the her husband's murder in the Georgia suburb Dunwoody. Her husband, Russell "Rusty" Sneiderman, 36, was shot and killed in the parking lot of his son's daycare center, Dunwoody Daycare, in November 2010, according to ABC News. The couple has two young children together, Sophia and Ian.

Andrea Sneiderman faces 16 counts, including felony murder, in connection with the shooting. She has entered a plea of not guilty, with her lawyers issuing a statement saying she “categorically” denies each and “every one of the charges” filed against her, DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James told CNN.

Andrea Sneiderman's boss, Hemy Neuman, was convicted of the murder and found mentally ill earlier this year, receiving a life in prison sentence in March. He said Neuman, an angel, sent him on a mission to kill Rusty Sneiderman. Neuman, a General Electric supervisor, was arrested months after the shooting, though prosecutors said they suspected Sneiderman was involved.

During Neuman's murder trial, his lawyer claimed Andrea Sneiderman used Neuman to kill her husband so she could collect on his $2 million life insurance policy, according to ABC News.

"The gun was in Hemy's hand, but the trigger was pulled by Andrea Sneiderman," Attorney Doug Peters said in court.

Neuman and Andrea Sneiderman traveled frequently together during their work at GE Energy, according to ABC News, and prosecutors and Neuman's lawyers have alleged that the pair had an affair and plotted the murder. Sneiderman has long denied involvement in the murder or that she ever had an affair with Neuman.

Court testimony in Neuman’s trial and family interviews in the media portray Rusty Sneiderman as a man who served on the boards of nonprofits and always wanted to help others. He even tried to help advance Andrea Sneiderman’s career, CNN reported.

But testimony from forensic psychiatrist Dr. Tracey Marks, a witness for the defense, told a much different story about their relationship.

“The e-mails between Hemy and Andrea were also discussing how there was tension in Andrea’s home between her and her husband,” Marks testified. “She was dissatisfied to say the least with his involvement with taking care of the children or even offering her support to be able to help with the children while she worked.”

Jury selection begins July 29.
