Angus T. Jones Talks Religion, Calls His Show 'Two and a Half Men' Filth

Tuesday, 27 November 2012 02:52 PM EST

The actor who plays the fractional Jake Harper on the CBS sitcom “Two and a Half Men” has bit the television hand that has fed him as he has grown on the show from a funny, cuddly boy into a lanky, sarcastic teen.

In an interview, 19-year-old Angus T. Jones offered what he called a “testimony” to a Seventh-day Adventist pastor, saying, “If you watch ‘Two and a Half Men,’ please stop watching ‘Two and a Half Men.’ I’m on ‘Two and a Half Men’ and I don’t want to be on it.”

He referred to the show’s content as “filth.”

Though he’s definitely not the first actor on the show to be critical of it (think Charlie Sheen), he’s the first to be so vocal and remain tenured.

“I am under contract for another year, so it is not too much of a decision on my part,” said Jones of his current employment in which he makes $350,000 per episode.

Jones also spoke of how he was forced into acting at a very young age by his mother and how he later found faith – and that is what brought Jones to his recent conclusions on the program’s content.

Around the Web, people reacted to Jones’ revelation with confusion, wondering why he would lash out against his own employer. A sampling of tweets:
