Conservative commentator Ann Coulter joked about mrdering Meghan McCain in a blog post that appeared on Fox Nation's site on Wednesday, and Sen. John McCain's daughter and wife are not happy about it — just ask their Twitter followers. Fox News has since pulled the post.
"MSNBC's Martin Bashir suggested that Republican senators need to have a member of their families killed for them to support the Democrats' gun proposals (Let's start with Meghan McCain!),"
Coulter wrote.
Coulter's column — which has been deleted from Fox's site — was in reference to a comment Rep. Elijah Cummings, a Democrat from Maryland, made in a recent MSNBC segment with Bashir where he was making a point that violence can touch anyone.

McCain, who now works as a contributor at MSNBC, responded to Coulter's joke on Twitter.
Cindy McCain, Meghan's mother, also stuck up for her daughter on social media.
The beef between Coulter and McCain is nothing new. It started in March 2009 when McCain wrote an article for The Daily Beast titled "My Beef With Ann Coulter," where she questioned Republican support for the conservative author and columnist. The two have been trading pot shots ever since.
Coulter has defended the joke, saying "everyone laughed when they read it."
