Anthony Weiner uncharacteristically fled from the press Wednesday, the day after his spokeswoman Barbara Morgan unleashed an expletive-ridden rant on a former intern who spilled inside campaign secrets online.
The New York City mayoral candidate, who himself is embattled in a new sexting scandal, was courting his former congressional district at the Knights of Columbus Rockaway Council in Queens Wednesday night when he
skirted questions about his communications director, Barbara Morgan, according to BuzzFeed.
A group of 15 or more reporters chased him as he left the appearance and jetted to his waiting SUV, shouting things like "Where is Barbara?" "Can we just ask you a couple quick questions?"

Even after copping to sending nude photos of himself to women online after his resignation from Congress in 2011, Weiner hasn’t been tight-lipped with the press. This week, he even released a new campaign ad vowing not to drop out of the mayoral race.
Morgan, who
called former intern Olivia Nuzzi a "slutbag," t—," and "c—," apologized Tuesday.
"In a moment of frustration, I used inappropriate language in what I thought was an off-the-record conversation," she said in a statement. "It was wrong and I am very sorry, which is what I said tonight when I called and emailed Olivia to apologize."
As for Weiner, he fell to fourth in the polls in the Democratic primary race for New York City mayor Monday.
The Quinnipiac poll also found that more than 50 percent of voters think he should drop out.
