Axl Rose has the largest vocal range of all time,
according to a Concert Hotels chart titled "The Vocal Ranges of the World's Greatest Singers."
The travel website behind the chart, which included the likes of Freddie Mercury, Paul McCartney, Tina Turner, Bruce Springsteen, and Marvin Gaye among many others, claimed to have taken the "100 Greatest Singers of All Time as compiled by Rolling Stone magazine in 2008" while adding "some of today’s top singers including the nominees for top male and female artist at the Billboard Music Awards 2014,"
USA Today reported.
Coming in immediately behind Rose on the list was Mariah Carey, followed by Prince, Steven Tyler, and James Brown rounding out the top five.

While the Guns N’ Roses frontman apparently has the largest vocal range, he doesn't have the highest pitch. According to the travel website, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera and Prince are all able to reach higher pitches than Rose.
Despite the chart clearly stating at the top of the webpage that it compares "the vocal ranges of today’s top artists with the greatest of all time," many observers apparently misread the chart's headline and quickly took to Twitter to inaccurately declare that Axl Rose was named the "World's Greatest Singer," as illustrated by the tweets below
compiled by The Wrap.
