A "Beauty and the Beast" crosswalk musical on the "Late Late Show with James Corden" has gone viral with 1.4 million views on YouTube since the late night segment was posted. Guess who plays Belle?
The "Late Late Show" comedy segment with actual "Beauty and the Beast" actors performing songs on the crosswalk of Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles aired Wednesday.
Corden was joined in the skit by Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Josh Gad and Dan Stevens, who plays the Beast. Evans plays Gaston and Gad portrays LeFou in live-action movie that hit theaters Friday.
Corden played the role of Belle, who is portrayed by Emma Watson in the movie.
The video showed Corden, his troupe and the actors practicing in the parking lot and then in the crosswalk performance in front of motorists, with some blowing their car horns as applause, said Rolling Stone magazine.
"Every number – performed in the middle of the busy crosswalk whenever the light gave them the cross signal – was abruptly concluded by Corden screaming, 'Cars! Cars! Cars! Be safe!' as the light began to change and he frantically rushed his cast out of the path of traffic," said Zach Seemayor with "Entertainment Tonight."
E! News noted that Corden has done similar productions for "Grease," "The Lion King," and "Phantom of the Opera."
Fans on social media appeared to love Corden's version of Belle.
