The Bellagio caught fire Thursday night, temporarily closing the Las Vegas Strip while more than 70 firefighters responded to the rooftop blaze.
The fire burned for less than 30 minutes above retail shops on the north side of the hotel's iconic fountain, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. Firefighters faced gusty winds and difficulty accessing the area.
No one was injured during the incident, which occurred above a Starbucks at the Via Bellagio shops, The Associated Press reported. A cause wasn't immediately identified.
Some shops were evacuated during the fire and reopened Friday, but the casino and the 36-story hotel weren't disrupted, the AP said.
An update was posted on the Bellagio Twitter account.
Clark County Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Larry D. Haydu said 10 engines and 77 personnel responded to the fire, which was reported at 10:46 p.m. and extinguished at 11:09 p.m., the Los Angeles Times reported.
The incident comes after last month's Belagio burglary, during which a man in a pig mask broke into the hotel's Tesorini jewelry store, the LA Times noted.
Twitter users posted videos of the flames and reactions.
