On Thursday, ultra-luxury automaker Bentley Motors showed off what will be the fastest four-seat car in the world; its newest Continental Supersports boasts a top speed of 209 mph.

It will be the third generation for the Continental Supersports, but now houses a six-liter W12 engine and 700 horsepower. The car can get from zero to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, according to Forbes, which is impressive for its weight of three-plus tons. The Supersports times a 0.3 seconds faster than a standard Continental W12.

All-wheel drive and an eight-speed gearbox add to the power and control of the car. The brakes are reported to be made with "massive" carbon-ceramic discs to be able to handle high-speed braking.

In addition, the front and rear bumpers have a splitter and diffuser that channel rushing air underneath the car to help with speed, stability, and maneuverability, Forbes reported.

No pricing has been announced for the vehicle, which is not yet available for sale, but it will undoubtedly run in the hundreds of thousands of dollars based on prices of other Bentley models, according to TrueCar.

The new Bentley four-seater is faster than most cars much smaller than it, with the only cars faster being a Tesla Model S or a high-end Ferrari, according to Wired, which compared the vehicle favorably to a Dodge Challenger Hellcat.

The Bentley Continental Supersports is faster than a Porshe Carerra 4S and can evenly match a Lamborghini Huracan, according to Forbes.

Like other Bentley models, you can customize the interior to your own specifications. Buyers can outfit it with 21-inch wheels and a titanium exhaust system if they so desire.
