Bethenny Frankel, the entrepreneur who starred on "Real Housewives of New York," is launching a new line of five-calorie, nonalcoholic sparkling drinks called Skinnygirl Sparklers.
“I haven’t been this excited about a business decision since I started my company,” the television personality and
talk show host who started Skinnygirl cocktails told People magazine.

Frankel said the concoction evolved after fans asked for a nonalcoholic beverage line.
“I know we have to drink it, but I don’t really love water. I like my drink to be a little more exiting,” she told People. That’s when her team came up with the idea for sparkling waters.
The beverage comes in four flavors: pineapple coconut, tangerine mango, strawberry lemonade, and pink grapefruit. A fifth flavor will soon be launched;
E! Online said Frankel is asking fans to come up with three ingredients for a new drink, and the three finalists with the best flavor combinations will win a trip to New York and a chance to win $10,000.
Frankel went from ordering margaritas on Real Housewives to launching a business empire that produced Skinnygirl Cocktails. Skinnygirl Sparklers, which is being produced with Arizona Beverages, is the latest step in the evolution.
“I’ve been talking about doing a nonalcoholic beverage for a very long time,”
the 43-year-old told Entertainment Weekly. “You really need the right partner. Beverages are very competitive and distribution is key, just like in cocktails, and price point is important.”
Frankel told Entertainment Weekly that Skinnygirl Sparklers won’t be the last of her products to come out over the next year or so. “There’s going to be a big launch for Skinnygirl Daily,” she said of her planned launch for nutrition bars and other on-the-go munchies.
Asked by Entertainment Weekly whether she models her company after any others, Frankel said: “I don’t know. I don’t know anyone who’s doing this the way I’m doing it to my knowledge that I’ve met. I’m just not a person who looks at what other people are doing. I do my own thing. … There aren’t that many people who are in the liquor business but then get into all these other different businesses, so it’s a very unique brand.”
