Bette Midler fell onstage during a performance of "Hello, Dolly!" at Broadway's Shubert's Theatre on Thursday, but the tumble didn't keep her down.
Midler, 71, posted about the incident on Twitter, assuring fans that she is OK.
The incident happened because of a set malfunction at the end of the first act of the show, CBS New York reported.
Midler fell off a piece of moving scenery, and the show was paused for about 10 minutes before resuming, with Midler returning to a standing ovation, ABC News reported.
"It's emotional because she had fallen and then she came out and she was still as good as you can expect," audience member Karen Selick told the New York Daily News.
The revival production of the popular show began in April, and Midler won a Tony Award this year for her role as Dolly Gallagher Levi.
Midler's run in the show will end in January, when Bernadette Peters takes over the role of Dolly on Jan. 20.
"I cannot imagine leaving Dolly Levi in better hands than those of Bernadette Peters. She has created more historic roles in more legendary musicals than any living Broadway star, and most of the dead ones, too. I cannot wait to see her in the show from my very expensive premium seat in Row G which I know I will have to pay for," Midler said in a statement, according to the Daily News.
