The IRS is after Beyoncé's dad, Mathew Knowles, for a hefty unpaid tax bill totaling more than $1.2 million.
The IRS claims Knowles owes $1.2 million on income from 2010 ($485,575.95) and 2011 ($728,004.89), according to TMZ. Knowles, 61, managed his superstar daughter's career from the early days of Destiny's Child up until 2011, when their relationship became strained. Beyoncé reportedly fired her father because she was upset about him cheating on and divorcing her mother Tina after 31 years of marriage.
Knowles has continued with other side projects in the music industry since cutting ties with his daughter, the Christian Post reported. He is currently worth about $50 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Beyoncé opened up about her father in her recent HBO documentary "Life Is But A Dream."
"I'm feeling so very empty because of the relationship with my dad," she said. "And I'm so fragile at this point and I feel like my soul has been tarnished."
Mathew Knowles also spoke out about the relationship in March, claiming he was never fired.
"Normally I hate to talk about anything personal, but it would be a lie if I did not say it has been difficult," he told The Sun. "It was hard for me to let her go — it was hard for both of us to let each other go. And let's be clear on that. She didn’t let me go, we both let each other go. That's a big difference.

"This was not a normal ending of a business agreement. This was a dad and a daughter and it was incredibly painful and it had some difficulties. But I try to always have a positive mind about things and you got to do it the right way."
