Big Mac Fashion Line Puts Popular Burger on Clothing

By    |   Thursday, 26 March 2015 04:46 PM EDT

A new Big Mac fashion line was launched by McDonald’s Sweden this week, featuring the popular burger on everything from boots to sheets as part of an international day celebrating "Moments of Joy."

McDonald’s targeted 24 cities in 24 countries with a hodgepodge of efforts to bring those joyful moments — also called “imlovinit24” — and Sweden’s line of Big Mac clothing certainly drew some online attention.

AdWeek said the 24-city blitz featured “goofy antics from [the] McDonald’s marketing team,” which included “a coffee-cup-shaped ball pit in Sydney, Australia; a giant Big Mac jigsaw puzzle in Madrid, Spain; a McOrchestra in Vienna; and a Ne-Yo concert in Los Angeles.”

But it was the Big Mac-themed fashion line that drew the most attention.

“We recognize, and our customers do too, all the negativity that surrounds daily life and we are choosing to celebrate lovin' more," McDonald’s said in a statement earlier this year. "McDonald's is in a unique position to use its scale to bring back the positivity with more uplifting content and conversations in the lovin' spirit."
