Police visited actor-comedian Bill Cosby's Pennsylvania mansion Thursday night during his 81st birthday celebration after a neighbor called with a noise complaint, according to a report.
Police sources told TMZ that Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, law enforcement received call that excessively loud music was being played somewhere on Cosby’s street. Officers reportedly responded with four units, two in the front of his residence and two in the back.
One caller reported the music, described as loud jazz, had been playing all day since 7 a.m., TMZ reported. But by the time officers arrived, things had quieted down.
Cosby representatives Andrew V. Wyatt and Ebonee M. Benson told TMZ "no police officers entered the property nor did any officer from Montgomery County make a request that the 'live' 5-piece band for Mr. Cosby’s birthday celebration, halt their music."
"Mr. Cosby along with his bride (Mrs. Cosby), family and friends enjoyed beautiful jazz music to honor Mr. Cosby’s 81st Birthday,” they added.
In response to reports that four units were dispatched to the Cosby residence in response to the noise complaint, they told TMZ "at least 4 Montgomery County Patrol Cars are always parked outside Mr. Cosby’s Philadelphia home for security purposes."
Cosby is facing the possibility of $25,000 in fines and 10 years in prison for each of three counts of aggravated indecent assault on which he was found guilty in April.
