Bob Saget Memoir: He Didn't Let His Own Kids Watch 'Full House'

Bob Saget, best known as America's favorite dad Danny Tanner on "Full House," revealed this week that he forbid his three daughters from watching the family sitcom growing up. That's one tidbit from his just-out memoir.

"I kind of forbid them to watch it . . . it was forbidden," Saget said Wednesday on "Access Hollywood Live" when asked if his kids enjoyed "Full House." "It was a kids’ show. It was a lovely, family kids’ show, but I’d done it all day. Would you go home and watch a kids’ show after you did it all morning?"

The 57-year-old, who's also well known for his scatological, raunchy stand-up comedy, published a book this week titled, "Dirty Daddy: The Chronicles of a Family Man Turned Filthy Comedian." In the memoir, Saget reveals some of the behind-the-scenes secrets from the show, including one story involving twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

"Cameras were rolling and one of the young ladies had made a poop, which had to be removed or we would have been holding a child with a smashed-poo-filled diaper for a long scene," Saget reportedly wrote in the book, according to the Daily Mail. "A very long scene if you're smelling poo the whole time."

Saget said in 2010 that he remains close with the now-27-year-old twins, who shared the role of Michelle Tanner starting when they were just nine months old.

"The joke I have with them is that I diapered them," Saget told Pop Eater in a 2010 interview. "They were three months old and doing the show and I also had a baby and there was a time when I knew how to diaper them really quickly."
