Bob Saget: 'Full House' Home Visit in San Francisco Was 'Creepy'

Bob Saget said it was a spur of the moment decision to visit the house in the opening credits of "Full House" while he was traveling to a radio show in San Francisco June 7 but called the visit "creepy."

Saget, who asked his driver to swing by the house that became recognizable in the 1990s by "Full House" fans, took about 20 pictures in front of home.

The 57-year-old comedian and actor said he felt "creepy" being there.

"Cars were going by, and I was like I gotta get out of here," Saget told US Weekly. "And a couple people kinda looked at me. One guy on a moped stopped with a look that was like, 'Oh, come on!' Because it's like, I'm in it!

"Some poor lady lives there and it's a well-known house now. People go there and see it like it's a cool thing. It's nice that it's not a negative memory. It's a home-cooked meal memory. So it was kind of weird being there," he added.

Only the exterior of the home was depicted on the show. The series, which lasted for eight seasons and started in 1987, was shot on a studio lot in Burbank, Calif.

Saget posted a photo in front of the home on Twitter, tweeting "In San Fran," and "Couldn't resist."

Saget played Danny Tanner, a single father in charge of raising three daughters whose wife died in a car accident. The series launched the careers of twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who both played Tanner's precious toddler Michelle.

US Weekly reported that Saget recently reunited with his other two "Full House" children, Candace Bure and Jodie Sweetin, at the Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine event in Beverly Hills in April. The event was a fundraiser for the Scleroderma Research Foundation, of which Saget is a board member. Saget lost his sister to the disease.
