Bobbi Kristina Deathbed Photo Being Shopped as Family Denies Taking It

By    |   Thursday, 09 July 2015 11:36 AM EDT

Someone is reportedly shopping a deathbed photo of Bobbi Kristina Brown around to various media outlets as the girl's family scrambles to find out who took the picture in question.

Leolah Brown, Brown's aunt, said her family had nothing to do with the photo, seemingly snapped at the 21-year-old's hospice bedside, according to TMZ.

Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has been unresponsive since she was found floating in a bathtub in late January. She was transferred to a hospice facility last month.

Earlier this week, TMZ reported that a hospice security team said the photo was taken by Brown’s family and, as a result, everyone but Brown’s father was banned from her bedside.

“Bobby Brown's family can no longer visit Bobbi Kristina in hospice — they've been banned because security guards believe one of them took the deathbed photo that's being shopped around,” the celebrity gossip site noted. “We're told Bobbi Kristina's estate — run by her legal guardians — made the decision to ban the Browns. We're also told although they know the culprit . . . they're not naming names at this point.”

Leolah Brown responded to accusations that a Brown family member took the photo with a long Facebook post Thursday morning. She said the picture was not taken while Bobbi Kristina was in hospice because it shows her in a neck brace, and she has not had one on since she was transferred.

“Don't let these evil people make you believe otherwise! I am NEVER going to tell you a lie about something like that,” Leolah Brown wrote. “Unfortunately, it was an evil and wicked person who had access to my niece-that did that! And if it were up to me! The sick and sorry people that continue to have permission to see her even still to this day-they would be COMPLETELY cut out NEVER to lay eyes on her again!”

The aunt also said she was shocked her niece was in hospice at all, adding that she had understood that Bobbi Kristina was getting better.
