The Bonneville Bobber, also known as the Bonneville T100, was introduced by British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph during a party in London Wednesday night.
The British manufacturer has trademarked the name “Bonneville Bobber,” which could mean an appearance in showrooms in the near future, Shifting-Gears.com noted.
Despite the release of the Bonneville T120, which Triumph started out with, modeling it in a way that reduced the weight of the bike, the Bonneville T100 was created to be a premium ride with its “faux hard tail rear end, single-seat layout, fatter tires, different exhaust pipes, etc.,” the website noted.
Some of its other premium features include an “authentic battery box with stainless steel strap, bar end mirrors, rear mudguard loop, carb styled twin throttle bodies” and “broad adjustable levers,” to name a few, per Clutch and Chrome Motorcycle Magazine.
Triumph is calling the new bobber an “elegant engineering innovation” as it “introduces a first-in-class tailorable riding position, delivered by the beautifully crafted new floating aluminum seat, ergonomically optimized and sculpted for comfort with stitched deep foam pad, and minimal stylish clock — both adjustable to suit rider size and riding style,” according to Clutch and Chrome.
Triumph is also offering three “classically inspired” colorways: Aegean Blue and Fusion White, Intense Orange and New England White, and Jet Black, Motorcycle.com noted.
Pricing and availability for the bike has yet to be released.
According to Motorcycle.com, recent tests show that the Bonneville Bobber will be simple to navigate for both newbies and longtime riders.
“Born in a unparalleled bloodline of Triumph bobber customs that stretch all the way back to the 1940s, it perfectly encapsulates the minimalist styling principles, muscular stance and purposeful engineering attitude of a genuine bobber,” Triumph noted, according to Clutch and Chrome.
