If there was one person who was happier than slugger David Ortiz about Sunday night's grand slam at the Red Sox game, it was the Boston cop stationed out in the bullpen.
The officer's reaction to the amazing Red Sox rally comeback became an instant viral sensation, with his hands-up cheering pose splashed all over newspaper front pages and plastered all over Twitter.
Here's the scene: The Boston Red Sox trailed the Detroit Tigers by one game going into Sunday night's Game Two of the American League Championship Series. By the eighth inning, the Red Sox were down 5-1 and things weren't looking good. Ortiz then came up to bat with two outs and the bases loaded and cracked one far into right field.

Detroit outfielder Torii Hunter followed the ball back to the warning track and then to the wall, flipping over it but failing to make the play. The stadium erupted as Ortiz and his teammates rounded bases on the game-tying grand slam.
And at the center of the cheering was Steve Horgan, a 27-year veteran of the Boston Police Department, who was standing next to Hunter out in the bullpen with his fists raised in the air.
"I couldn't even hear myself it was so loud," Horgan, 50, told ESPN Boston. "I can't believe it. I don’t know what to think. I can’t believe it. It was an awesome feeling."
The photo spurred some hilarious Photoshops on Twitter.
Horgan also posed for a picture with Red Sox owner John Henry after the game.
The Red Sox scored again in the ninth inning to win the game 6-5.
The Tigers and Red Sox are now tied with one game apiece in the best-of-seven ALDS series. Game Three is scheduled for Tuesday at 4:07 p.m. EST on Fox.
