Brad Pitt and his German model girlfriend Nicole Poturalski have broken up. The pair had only been dating for several weeks but now things are "totally over," a source revealed to Page Six.
"It was never all that serious as it was cracked up to be," the insider said, adding that the couple split "a while back."
Rumors first emerged that Pitt, 56, and Poturalski, 27, were an item in August after they were spotted leaving Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport together. It later emerged that Poturalski was married to Roland Mary but that they were in an "open relationship." Roland was "not interested" in being "jealous" of his wife cozying up to Pitt, a source recently told Daily Mail.
"Roland is a very philosophical guy," the insider said. "He has been married several times and has five children. He is not interested in negativity or jealousy."
Meanwhile, Pitt is locked in a fierce custody battle with Angelina Jolie. In the latest round of events, a domestic violence expert was called to testify in the case over their six children. The long bitter battle has grown messy.
Jolie recently asked that the private judge who was overseeing the case be removed, claiming that he "failed to disclose the cases that demonstrated the current, ongoing, repeat-customer relationship between the judge and Respondent's counsel."
Pitt responded by filing court documents accusing Jolie of using the demand to delay proceedings.
"Unfortunately, the individuals hurt most by Jolie's transparently tactical gambit are the parties' own children, who continue to be deprived of a final resolution to these custody issues," the documents read.
Jolie's lawyer, Samantha Bley DeJean, hit back, stating that Pitt's filing was an attempt to sway the judge's answer.
"Any delay in these proceedings is due to their zealous attempt to create an unrecognized special exception for their client's benefit," DeJean said.
