Brian Wilson: Beard Is Staying, Won't Shave It Off for $1 Million

Brian Wilson has declined to shave his legendary beard, even in exchange for $1 million offered by a razor company.

The Los Angeles Dodgers reliever, who was a popular member of the 2010 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants, said the beard is going with him to the grave, according to TMZ.

Wilson's trademark locks even issued a statement of their own: "I DON'T CARE HOW MUCH MONEY'S ON THE TABLE ... NOBODY'S CUTTING ME!" TMZ shared.

A report from Radar Online said a company called 800Razors.com offered Wilson six figures to go clean-shaven.

"His management feels we need to match his present salary of $1 million at a minimum," 800Razors.com co-founder and President Philip Masiello told the website Aug. 19. "Over the weekend and continuing today, we have been in discussions with his management at MVP sports to finalize the terms under which Brian would participate in a beard shaving promotion and endorsement. The discussions commenced Friday and are continuing through today."

Representatives for Wilson, who made his 2013 debut for the Dodgers Aug. 22, told TMZ that Wilson never took the offer seriously. Wilson refused to even trim it.

Wilson, 31, has kept the beard since San Francisco's run to the 2010 World Series. He missed most of the past two seasons after having a second Tommy John elbow ligament replacement surgery. His new team, the Dodgers, led the National League West Division at 75-52 entering Friday.
