Brie Larsen said her Casey Affleck snub during the Oscars earlier this month was intentional, and was apparently in support of victims of sexual assault, said Vanity Fair magazine which got the last word on the topic.
Larsen, who presented the best actor award during the Academy Awards, declined to applaud when Affleck won for his role in "Manchester By the Sea," noted the magazine.
On Wednesday, during the Hollywood premiere of "Kong: Skull Island," Larsen told Vanity Fair her silence was not an oversight.
"I think that whatever it was that I did onstage kind of spoke for itself," said Larsen. "I've said all that I need to say about that topic."
Affleck has been criticized by some since settling a pair of sexual harassment lawsuits in 2010 filed by Amamda White and Magdalena Gorka while filming "I'm Still Here," according to E! News.
Both quit during filming because of the alleged harassment, but were given back their titles – White as producer and Gorka as cinematographer – as part of an out-of-court settlement, but the financials were not disclosed.
Actress Constance Wu, of the series "Fresh Off the Boat," helped re-ignite the Affleck debate in January after the younger brother of Ben Affleck was nominated for the role.
Some Oscar viewers noticed Larsen's reaction to Affleck and took to Twitter.
Larsen won a best actress Academy Award in 2016 for her role in "Room," a story about a woman who was kidnapped as a teen and gave birth to a son after being raped during her years in captivity, noted Vanity Fair.
