Bristol Palin got engaged to Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Dakota Meyer on Friday after he popped the question at a Rascal Flatts concert.
"He’s so romantic!" the 24-year-old
wrote on her blog. "The lead singer, Gary LeVox, dedicated 'Bless the Broken Road' to us, and then Dakota got down on one knee and proposed!"
Along with the celebratory blog post, Palin posted several photos of her and her soon-to-be hubby on her Instagram account.

On Saturday night, Sarah Palin also took to social media to celebrate her daughter's engagement.
"Our families couldn’t be happier for Bristol and Dakota!"
she wrote on Facebook.
"We’re honored to welcome Dakota into our family. He’s an American hero and patriot whose service to our country – like all his fellow Medal of Honor recipients – has been above and beyond the call of duty; but even more important is he’s a good and kind man who loves Bristol and [her son] Tripp, and is loved by them."
The former vice presidential candidate explained that Dakota and Bristol had met in Alaska while the Palin's were filming an episode of their reality show, "Amazing America."
Meyer, 26, was awarded the Medal of Honor in 2011.
According to the Military Times, he "was part of a pre-dawn patrol in the Afghan village of Ganjgal when two Marine platoons were ambushed by more than 50 enemy fighters firing rocket propelled grenades, mortars, and machine guns. He made five trips into the ambush zone to rescue wounded Afghan forces and recover the bodies of fallen Marines."
Meyer thanked all his and his fiancée's well-wishes
via Facebook on Saturday.
"I always heard people say 'when you meet the right one, you'll know.' I never understood that until now," he explained. "Bristol makes me a better man. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her and Tripp."
