Bristol Palin joined her mother Sarah Palin and the legion of "Duck Dynasty" fans in support of Phil Robertson after A&E suspended the star of the hit reality show for his comments on gays in GQ magazine.
Palin wrote a post on her Patheos.com blog titled "Leave Phil Robertson Alone," arguing that complaints from the LGBT community about Robertson's comments were hypocritical.

"I hate how the LGBT community says it's all about 'love' and 'equality,'" Palin wrote. "However, if you don't agree with their lifestyle, they spread the most hate. It is so hypocritical it makes my stomach turn. They need to learn how to respect others' opinions and not just jump to the conclusion that everyone who doesn't support homosexuality and gay marriage is homophobic."
Robertson's comments on homosexuality in the January edition of the magazine have generated a lot of discussion this week.
When asked about who he believed were sinners, Robertson said: "Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men. ... Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers — they won't inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It's not right."
A&E, which airs "Duck Dynasty," announced earlier this week that Robertson would be on an indefinite hiatus from the show because of the remarks.
Since the announcement, a score of public figures have come out in support of Robertson. Sarah Palin posted her thoughts on Facebook.
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal,
where the Robertsons live and the show is shot, came to his defense as well.
"Phil Robertson and his family are great citizens of the State of Louisiana," Jindal said in a statement. "The politically correct crowd is tolerant of all viewpoints, except those they disagree with. ... I also acknowledge that this is a free country and everyone is entitled to express their views. In fact, I remember when TV networks believed in the First Amendment."
