Did Britney Spears take on a heckler at her Las Vegas show on Wednesday? Some media say she called out the slur-slinging person, but one outlet questioned if the singer heard the comment at all.
According to Us Weekly, Spears, 33, was performing at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, singing her hit "Till the World Ends," when the heckler yelled "fat b***h"at her while her back was turned to the crowd. The magazine wrote that the comments appeared loud enough for the Grammy Award-winning singer to hear.
Spears fired back with "F***ing a**holes" into her microphone, while she continued to sing and dance with her small legion of backup dancers on stage, said the magazine.
TMZ, though, said Spears probably didn't hear the comment which was heard on a video recording.
"It now sounds like the guy who said 'fat b***h" is so far back there's no way Britney could have heard him," TMZ reported. "So the question ... what happened that p***ed her off so much? Several sources who work on the show tell TMZ, they believe Britney was reacting to a comment someone made in the audience, but they don't know what was said."
People magazine reported that Spears had recently rebooted her "Piece of Me" residency shows at Planet Hollywood after taking a short break. Spears is currently contracted to do shows there through September.
"Spears looking confident in a curve-hugging black and gold bodysuit, didn't let the moment slow her down," wrote People's Tierney McAfee. "We hope this isn't our last taste of her Southern-bred sass."
People reported back in March that her shows in Las Vegas have generated more than $50 million in ticket sales. Spears told the magazine the shows have allowed her to concentrate on her two boys she had with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
"I'm the happiest I've ever been," Spears told People in March. "My kids come first in my life, bottom line. … Homework is a priority. We have a reward system that helps motivate them: if they get so many As, they get one toy a month."
