Britney Spears' ex-husband, Jason Allen Alexander, was among the supporters of President Donald Trump protesting and rioting at the Capitol on Wednesday. Taking to Facebook, Alexander, who married Spears in 2004 for 55 hours, shared a photo of himself wearing a Trump 45 beanie at the rally.
"DC. Millions showed up," he captioned the image, indicating his math skills are less than stellar.
Alexander's claim to fame is that he was married to Spears for 55 hours in 2004!
Prior to the event, Alexander informed his followers that he would be attending the "Save America" protest, which saw a mob storm the Capitol, forcing members of Congress to temporarily abandon their formal certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the November election. Several people died, and many have been arrested as the pro-Trump mob drew bipartisan condemnation.
Last year Alexander attended a #FreeBritney protest in Los Angeles amid her conservatorship battle. Speaking with TMZ at the time, Alexander said he wanted to bring some "love and attention" to the cause while showing his support to Spears.
Having known her since they were children, Alexander claimed to have a good understanding of how Spears' conservatorship was being handled. He said he could understand why the "Toxic" singer was placed under the conservatorship in 2008 after suffering a breakdown and being forced to enter a psychiatric ward, but it was "ridiculous" that it was still in place.
He said Spears was ready for the conservatorship to end. "I'm Britney's fan and friend forever," he added.
