'Call Me Caitlyn': Bruce Jenner Debuts 'Her' on Vanity Fair Cover

Caitlyn Jenner appears on the July cover of Vanity Fair in the world's first glimpse of Bruce Jenner's new female identity.

The 65-year-old former Olympian announced in April to Diane Sawyer that he was in the process of transitioning from male to female, sources told People magazine. The Vanity Fair cover will mark Jenner’s first print interview and photoshoot since the announcement and the first time the world will see his new female identity.

Photographer Annie Leibovitz shot the cover, which also announced Jenner's female name: Caitlyn.

Jenner declared on Sunday's episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” filmed months ago, that he was going ahead with surgery to feminize his face immediately.

On last month's “Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce” special — which was filmed in January — stepdaughter Khloe Kardashian asked him, “Are you planning on not being Bruce any time soon?”

“That’s quite possible,” Jenner responded, adding that the transition to his female identity called “Her” will occur “probably in the spring.”

Jenner does not yet call himself “she,” according to Time magazine, but likely will after the cover officially comes out in July.

An eight-episode series on Jenner’s life as a woman is scheduled to premiere on E! on July 26.

Twitter users cheered Caitlyn's debut:
