Bruce Springsteen has extended his run on Broadway run, with additional shows scheduled in New York City from Feb. 28 through to June 30, 2018.

According to Variety, the extension comes after an overwhelming participation in the original 16-week series of performances held at Jujamcyn’s Walter Kerr Theatre.

There will be no additional registration for these extended dates. Instead fans who had previously registered but were either put on standby or unsuccessful in purchasing their tickets will be contacted by Ticketmaster with further information, Variety said.

“Springsteen On Broadway” hit the stage in October and, within the first five performances, the show managed to gross $2.33 million, The New York Times reported.

Tickets to the initial run through to Nov. 26 sold out within a day and tickets for the extended shows will be snapped up quickly.

According to Springsteen’s website, fans who have previously registered but did not obtain tickets will be randomly selected from a pool and will be sent an access code via text message on Tuesday, Dec. 19 prior to the onsale at 10 a.m. ET.

There will also be a limited number of tickets up for grabs via the Springsteen on Broadway Lottery, with 26 tickets to be sold for each performance.

Fans can enter up to a week before the performance they hope to attend through Luckyseat and, according to the website, winners will be drawn 24 hours prior to the performance.

“Springsteen On Broadway” stands out as an intimate show that allows fans to experience “The Boss” up close and personal.

Springsteen was initially unsure of how it would feel to perform at the same venue every night for several weeks but was excited about the experience.

“The Walter Kerr [Theatre] kinda feels like you’re inviting people into your living room, and it’s gonna allow for a different type of communication with the audience,” he told Variety, before the show launched.
