When a car skidded off a Michigan highway and ended up on the roof of Joyce Kingsley's home, it made a loud "kaboom," the 83-year-old said Monday.

"I was just watching TV inside. I had it up pretty loud — but this was much louder," she told reporters, according to The Associated Press.

When she emerged from her home, Kingsley saw a bright red Ford Mustang high-centered on the peak of her home.

When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they were glad to discover that no one, not even the driver, was seriously harmed in the accident.

"The driver is extremely lucky," Trooper Ben Rowell said.

The driver was treated for low blood sugar, but was not injured.

It turns out that a medical problem caused the driver to lose control on Interstate 69 in Shiawassee County. When it careened off the highway, it crashed through several bushes, trees, and a fence before jumping the small gap from a hill to Kingsley's roof.

"It could've been a lot worse," she said. "I'm glad everyone is all right."
