Carol Coronado, the 30-year-old California woman arrested Tuesday for allegedly stabbing her three young daughters to death, is being held under guard at a hospital as her husband mourns the loss of his family.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told NBC Los Angeles that Coronado’s mother called 911 shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday to say that the woman was killing the girls or had already killed them. When police arrived, they found Coronado lying in bed with the bodies of her children, naked, covered in blood, and holding a knife.
Rudy Coronado, Carol Coronado's husband, was reportedly home at the time of the triple murder.
A source close to the family told KTLA 5 that he doesn't blame his wife for killing their daughters, but the "demons inside her."

"Deputies went in, they brought the husband out and he was screaming and crying," neighbor Ashley Madrid told NBC Los Angeles. "Then they brought her out naked and covered in blood."
Family, friends, and neighbors gathered for a vigil Wednesday evening in honor of the three little girls, who were reportedly aged 2 years, 16 months, and
2 months old, according to The Orange County Register.
Rudy Coronado said he was home, but outside working on his
car when the stabbings occurred, the Daily Mail reported.
"I don’t know why the hell this happened, she killed my babies man, she killed my babies," he told the Mail. "It was like a demon possessed. She was a girl with a good career ahead of her, I just don’t know why it happened. If I knew why it happened, it would answer all my questions."
Carol Coronado has reportedly refused to give an explanation as to why she allegedly killed her children. When she was found, she had superficial cuts indicating she may have also attempted to kill herself, the Mail noted.
