Carrie Fisher confirmed that the old gang will be back together for "Star Wars VII," adding that she expects to return before cameras as Princess Leia in the spring.
In an interview with TV Guide on Monday, Fisher said she will join Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill sometime in March or April to begin shooting the next installment of the iconic sci-fi franchise. This time the film will be under the direction of J.J. Abrams.

"I'd like to wear my old [cinnamon buns] hairstyle again — but with white hair," Fisher said. "I think that would be funny."
Hamill, who played the leading role in the original "Star Wars" trilogy as Luke Skywalker, didn't reveal much about the new film in a Reddit Q&A session Wednesday.
"The only character I know for sure is returning is my friend R2-D2. He hasn't stopped beeping about it." Hamill wrote when asked about Fisher's comments. "I'm not being coy, really. When I find something out, I'll let everybody know. But nothing has been decided yet."
The Guardian reported that "Star Wars Episode VII" has been reworked to pick up the lives of Skywalker, Leia, and Han Solo.
Abrams said at the Television Critics Association press tour Sunday that
the screenplay with "Star Wars" veteran Lawrence Kasdan has been completed. Abrams said he talked with Jesse Plemons of "Breaking Bad," about a role as well.
The new "Star Wars" is expected to hit theaters on or around Christmas 2015.
Fisher, along with voice of Darth Vader, James Earl Jones, will play "Star Wars"-related roles in an episode of CBS's award-winning comedy "The Big Bang Theory," which will air Jan. 30.
"For the first time, the guys are unable to get Comic-Con tickets, so Sheldon attempts to start his own convention," "The Big Bang Theory" Executive Producer Steven Molaro told TV Guide. "He needs a killer panelist, but everyone on his list hangs up on him. So he sets his sights on James Earl Jones and tracks him down."
Molaro revealed that Fisher makes what he calls "an interesting" cameo in the episode.
