Millions tuned in to watch President Donald Trump deliver the State of the Union address on Tuesday. Among them were plenty of celebrities who offered their opinions online amid Trump's discussions of the economy, healthcare, and prayer in public schools.

The responses were divided, with some celebrating the president and others slamming him.

Many prominent names declared their support of Trump.

"I understand why a lot of Americans, on the left, don't recognize Trump's common sense approach. They have never seen it coming out of Washington before. Hey, it's just simple common sense. Not politics. It works," Chuck Woolery posted to Twitter.

Former Pussycat Dolls member Kaya Jones tweeted that Trump was the "Best President ever!" and Robert Davi called the State of the Union address "inspiring."

"THE STATE OF THE UNION speech by @realDonaldTrump was most inspiring most inclusive must unifying I have ever heard - AMERICANS BE PROUD STRONG AND STAY THE COURSE #Trump2020 One Nation Under God," Davi wrote.

Other celebs attacked the president.

Bette Midler blasted Trump on Twitter with a post calling him a liar.

"Where does he get the stats from? Stephen Miller?" she wrote. "He lies so much, why should we believe him tonight or ever? He THREW PEOPLE OFF food stamps, and didn't 'lift' people off welfare, he kicked them out to join the homeless."

Rosie O'Donnell, who has a long-running feud with Trump, echoed Midler's words.

"oh my god where is the lie counter?" she tweeted.

"his kids there - like animated supervillains #trumpLIES," she added in a separate post.

"#SOTU was the most shameless and manipulative game show ever aired," actor Jeffrey Wright chimed in.
