Charlie Sheen is likely coming back for the series finale of "Two and a Half Men," Ashton Kutcher all but confirmed on Friday.
Sitting down with talkshow host Ellen DeGeneres, Kutcher — who replaced Sheen after he was fired over substance abuse issues — tittered and shifted in his seat when Ellen brought up the finale, which is to air in February.
"Have you shot it yet, or no?" she asked.
"No we haven't shot it. But I got pitched yesterday what the story's going to be . . . I don't know if I'm allowed to talk about it," he replied.
"Probably not," said Ellen, provoking audience laughter.
As MTV put it in a headline, "Kutcher’s Terrible Poker Face Basically Confirms Charlie Sheen Will Be On The 'Two And A Half Men' Finale."
With each passing second of conversation, Kutcher leaked like a sieve.
"Does Charlie come back?" Ellen asked point blank.
Kutcher demurred at the question, but did offer a hint.
"Here's the thing. If you’re working on the Warner Brothers lot, if there’s sirens, come save me . . . If you smell something, I wasn’t smokin’ it."
