A Cheetos-themed restaurant is opening in New York City with celebrity chef Anne Burrell making the creations.
The Spotted Cheetah will be open for just three days, from Aug. 15 to 17, with three-course meals featuring all different kinds of Cheetos, Business Insider reported. The pop-up eatery was already taking reservations Tuesday and selling out, with BI reporting it could not find an open Tuesday (Aug. 15) time slot when it tried.
Some of the culinary creations available at the fine dining establishment include Cheetos Crusted Fried Pickles, Spicy Cheetos Nachos, and Cheetos Sweetos Crusted Cheesecake.
Other menu items include Cheetos Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup, Cheetos Meatballs, Flamin’ Hot Limon Chicken Tacos, and Cheetos Sweetos Apple Crepe, BI reported.
Burrell is a Food Network staple, starring on shows such as “Worst Cooks in America” and “Secrets of a Restaurant Chef.”
“As a long-time Cheetos fan, I’m thrilled to join forces with a snack brand that is truly an iconic American staple,” Burrell said in a news release, CNN Money reported. “I had so much fun curating this specially crafted, one-of-a-kind menu for the first Cheetos restaurant — I can’t wait to see guests’ reactions!”
"The Spotted Cheetah is a fun and delicious way for Cheetos to celebrate a variety of favorite flavors in an upscale and playful culinary setting that will wow our guests," Senior Director of Marketing at Frito-Lay Ryan Matiyow said, CNN Money reported.
Burger King currently offers Mac n’ Cheetos on its menu, and Taco Bell offers Cheetos quesadillas, but this is the first time an entire menu has been based on the food, CNN Money reported. A cookbook with recipes for the menu items will be sold online.
Cheetos fans on Twitter were beyond excited about the restaurant.
