Former President Bill Clinton tapped his daughter, Chelsea Clinton, as a candidate for the nation’s top office and suggested she might, in the long run, make an even better president than his wife.
In an interview with CNN's Piers Morgan that aired Wednesday, Clinton showed his political knack for tackling a tough question when Morgan asked him who would make a better president – his wife or daughter.

“Day after tomorrow – my wife because she’s had more experience,” Clinton told Morgan. “Over the long run, Chelsea. She knows more than we do about everything.”
Smiling as he answered the question, Clinton alluded to times in his daughter’s youth when he was pretty sure she thought she knew more than her parents. “Now, it’s highly embarrassing because she in fact does. So, I feel like I’m going to school every day when we have conversations,” he said.
Chelsea Clinton has become more active in the nonprofit organization, Clinton Global Initiative, that was set up by her father to look for solutions to world problems. In various interviews,
she hasn’t ruled out the idea that she may run for office someday.
In a CNN interview in August about a tour of Rwanda, she left the subject open: “I'm grateful to live in a city and a state and a country where I really believe in my elected officials, and their ethos and their competencies. Someday, if either of those weren't true, and I thought I could make more of a difference in the public sector, or if I didn't like how my city or state or country were being run, I'd have to ask and answer that question.”
