Model Chloe Goins pressed her sexual assault claim against comedian Bill Cosby in federal court on Tuesday as Los Angeles prosecutors were deciding whether to bring criminal charges against him in another case.
Cosby has been deluged by sexual assault allegations from women across the nation whose claims trace decades of Cosby misconduct, according to the
Los Angeles Times. Unlike many of the others, though, these two cases involved teenagers.
People magazine said Goins allegations, which she said occurred in 2008 when she was 18, may be the first that fall within the statute of limitations that can lead to a criminal case.
"Your experience is just like mine, and mine just like yours," said Goins, referring to dozens of other women who have made allegations against Cosby. "We are not alone. This has been going on long enough. It is time Bill Cosby was held accountable for his actions."
Goins' lawsuit says she attended an event at the Playboy Mansion and was introduced to Cosby by Hugh Hefner, reported People. She said Cosby gave her a drink and she immediately felt dizzy and sick.
In her suit, Goins says she blacked out and when she woke up, she found "that her breasts were wet and sticky, as if someone had been licking them, and Bill Cosby was biting on one of her toes as he crouched at the end of the bed."
She said Cosby left the room when she asked what he was doing, according to the lawsuit.
While not responding to the civil lawsuit, Cosby's lawyer said previously that the comedian was in New York on the date Goins claimed she was assaulted, said People.
Goins' lawsuit comes as Cosby prepares to be deposed by attorney Gloria Allred this month in connection with another civil lawsuit by Judy Huth, who alleges Cosby sexually assaulted her in 1974 when she was 15, said the Times.
