Chris Brown's assault trial stemming from an October altercation with a fan has been pushed to Wednesday, though his bodyguard was convicted of misdemeanor assault last week for his alleged part in the fight.
The 24-year-old
R&B singer and bodyguard Christopher Hollosy, 35, were arrested in October for allegedly punching a man outside the
W Hotel in Washington, D.C., according to The Washington Post.
Hollosy told officials he punched the fan after the man tried to get on Brown's tour bus, but the victim claims both Brown and Hollosy attacked him after he tried to get in a photo
Brown was taking with two women, The Associated Press reported.

Hollosy was convicted of misdemeanor assault in last week in D.C. Superior Court.
Brown was supposed to have his own trial Monday, but the proceedings were pushed to Wednesday because attorneys are reportedly trying to settle whether Hollosy will testify, according to The Post.
The bodyguard's lawyers believe his testimony could threaten any chance for a future appeal, while Brown's attorneys think Hollosy's testimony could get Brown off the hook if the bodyguard admits to throwing the punch.
Hollosy is scheduled for sentencing June 25 and could receive a maximum penalty of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Brown would face the same penalties if found guilty, but could also be slapped with an additional four years in jail because the arrest is a violation of his probation stemming from the February 2009 assault of then-girlfriend and superstar Rihanna.
The Grammy Award-winner is currently in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
Last month, Brown was booted from a Malibu rehab facility and locked up for allegedly making threats about using guns, according to The Post.
