Chrissy Teigen on First Pitch at Dodgers Game: I Was 'Pretty Drunk'

By    |   Thursday, 07 August 2014 07:12 AM EDT

Chrissy Teigen, who graced the cover of the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, threw out a decent ceremonial first pitch at Dodgers Stadium Tuesday, despite tweeting that she was "pretty drunk" before the event.

A video of the buzzed-up Teigen delivering her first pitch to Dodgers catcher Drew Butera had more than 600,000 views on YouTube as of Thursday.

Teigen, 28, detailed her pre-pitch mood on Twitter before the game.

Mrs. John Legend then proudly posted a recording her first-pitch practice session just before the big throw on Instagram.

MLB.com's associate Dodgers reporter Michael Lananna posted on Twitter that Teigen wore the No. 40 with the name "Nugz" on the back because 40 chicken McNuggets at McDonald's is her "favorite drunk food" at the restaurant.

After the pitch, Teigen gave Butera a big hug and then hugged a friend as they both fell to the ground.

"The swimsuit model threw out the first pitch and seemed to enjoy every single aspect of it. The throw itself was respectable, landing just right of the plate after she threw from the rubber," the New York Post reported

Teigen's throw was markedly better than the one delivered by Curtis Jackson, aka rapper 50 Cent, before the Mets game in May, which sailed far to the left of the plate.
