Christie Brinkley's dating problem may surprise some, but the longtime supermodel says it’s difficult to find a nice guy at 63, regardless how famous and rich you are.
Brinkley, who most recently had high profile romances with musicians John Mellencamp and David Foster, was attending the St. Barth Hamptons Gala on Saturday in Bridgehampton, New York, when she told "Entertainment Tonight" that she could use advice on "where to meet a nice guy."
"You know, because it's very different at my age," Brinkley told ET about her dating problems. "It's like, when you're young, no problem. But sort of at this age, it's not as easy. You know, I'm counting on my friends to, like, pull something out of the hat."
Brinkley was first married to singer Billy Joel and had one child, reported the Daily Mail. Her marriage to architect Peter Cook, who she had two more children with, ended in 2008.
The model, who appeared in Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue in February with daughters Alexa Joel, 31, and Sailor Brinkley Cook, 18, told ET that things are currently quiet on the dating front for now.
"There's nobody right now," said Brinkley. "I'm loving my summer and, you know, kind of really too busy ... but I'd slow it down a little if the right person came along."
Brinkley told People magazine earlier this year that it was her daughters who encouraged her to do the Sports Illustrated photo shoot. Brinkley first appeared in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in 1979.
"My first thought was, 'At my age? No way!'" Brinkley told People then. "When I turned 30, I was like, 'This is the last time I'm posing in a bathing suit.' When this issue comes out, I'll be 63. I thought, 'Those days are over.' But to get to do it with my girls, I thought, 'One last go!'"
