Cissy Houston, the grandmother of Bobbi Kristina Brown who remains in a coma after being found face down in her bathtub on Jan. 31, is speaking out about her granddaughter.
“She’s the same,”
Houston, 81, told WBLS 107.5 FM on Wednesday, adding that Brown has been moved to a place for rehabilitation. “There’s still not a great deal of hope. We’re praying. I don’t pray like that. I give it to God one time, because I know he’s able and I cannot change a thing. I’m asking everyone just pray to the lord who we know can do something about it. If he works a miracle, thank God. If it happens the other way, I’m alright.”
Until now, Houston has stayed silent about Brown, who was found unresponsive by her partner Nick Gordon.
The 22-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston was moved to a rehab center in Atlanta from Emory University hospital earlier this week.
Gordon was scheduled to appear in an interview for “The Dr. Phil Show” earlier this month, but instead an
intervention was held and Gordon is in rehab.
"I went in to Atlanta to do an interview with Nick Gordon and wound up doing an intervention,”
Dr. Phil McGraw told Access Hollywood. “I learned this from his lawyers who truly have his best interest at heart – they tell me that he is so high, so out of control, abusing alcohol and apparently Xanax. They're concerned for his very life, his very well-being and so much so that … his ability to sit down and give an interview is just not an option.”
Gordon and Brown argued hours before she was found unresponsive, and
Gordon has been struggling with guilt, Us Weekly reported.
