Dylan Quick, the suspect in the
Lone Star Community College stabbing rampage that injured 14 people in Texas on Tuesday, reportedly had fantasies about stabbing people to death since he was in elementary school, police said as new details about him emerged..
"According to the statement the suspect voluntarily gave investigators, he has had fantasies of stabbing people to death since he was in elementary school. He also indicated that he has been planning this incident for some time," the Harris County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
Witnesses said Quick, 20, used an "Exacto-knife-like" object to stab 14 people on Lone Star's Cy-Fair campus in Cypress. Quick, who witnesses said appeared to be a student, was reportedly tackled to the ground by a group of students before police took him into custody.

"It just seemed like he was just going around, basically getting whoever was more open and easiest for him to reach," student Cassie Foe told CNN's Anderson Cooper on Tuesday.
Two of those injured remained hospitalized in critical condition as of late Tuesday, Kathryn Klein, a spokeswoman for the Memorial Hermann Texas Trauma Institute told CNN.
Students snapped cell phone photos and posted them on social media as Quick was being taken away by police. Michael Chalfan, a student at the college, told Reuters that he recognized the suspect as a classmate in a drama class about a year ago.
Chalfan described the suspect as an eccentric student who carried a stuffed pet monkey around campus and regularly wore workout gloves.
"He dresses weird," Chalfan told reporters.
On April 1, Lone Star College featured a profile on Quick on its Student Spotlight blog detailing his difficult upbringing. Quick was reportedly born deaf and underwent a cochlear implant as a child. He was homeschooled by his mother, who got him involved with Lone Star College's teen activities at the library on campus when he was 12.
Quick planned to pursue a career in accounting and wanted to transfer to the University of Houston after getting an associate's degree from Lone Star, according to the article.
