Conor McGregor's war of words with boxing champion Floyd Mayweather reached the price tag stage Tuesday night as the UFC kingpin said he would fight Mayweather under boxing rules for $100 million.

McGregor, the current UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, and Mayweather, the undefeated WBO welterweight champion before retiring 49-0, had been trading words instead of punches recently.

"The two had been going back and forth on TMZ Sports with Floyd calling him an 'ant' and Conor daring him to 'say that in my face,'" wrote TMZ Sports.

Mayweather unloaded when a he was compared by a TMZ Sports reporter to McGregor, who is 21-3 mixed martial arts competition and 9-1 in the UFC.

"If you're saying he's the Floyd Mayweather of the MMA, I'm trying to find out: Has he ever made $300 million in one night? Has he ever made $100 million in one night? Has he ever made $70 million in one night? So, as far as trying to say he's the Floyd Mayweather of MMA … I mean, it's OK to say it. It's not true," Mayweather said, per TMZ Sports.

"I'm a legend, a living legend. The sport of boxing — I gave years and years of hard work. It was blood, sweat and tears. Had a tremendous team, had a tremendous run. I think that it's time for Conor McGregor to go out there and do what he do. But never compare Conor McGregor to me. It's a total disrespect. Once again, I'm an elephant. An elephant don't beef with ants. Elephant is so large, he don't even see ants," Mayweather continued.

McGregor apparently upped the ante at 1 Oak lounge in New York City where he taunted Mayweather, wrote TMZ Sports. He was still in New York following winning his lightweight title match Saturday in UFC 205.

"Floyd's not ready for this," McGregor said, according to TMZ Sports. "Much respect to Floyd. He's a solid businessman on what he's been able to do ... he's a f—ing animal at what he's been able to do. But as far as real fighting ... as far as true pure unarmed combat ... Floyd don't want none of this.

"He wants a boxing match, he doesn't want a fight. I want a $100 million cash to fight him under boxing rules ... he's afraid of a real fight," McGregor continued.
