Conrad Hilton, the younger brother of socialite Paris Hilton, was arrested this week for allegedly violating a restraining order filed by his ex-girlfriend.
Police responded Monday to a call from Hilton’s ex-beau, Hunter Salomon, reporting that the 21-year-old was trying to get onto her property,
Officer Liliana Preciado told The Associated Press.
Hilton reportedly dated Salomon, the daughter of Rick Salomon and actress E.G. Daily, years ago but became obsessive over their past relationship last year when he began telling her that he was going to
kill himself if he could not see her, TMZ reported. He even told Salomon to “get a restraining order because he can't restrain himself,” according to the celebrity gossip website.
Shortly after, the court granted Salomon a restraining order that required Hilton to stay at least 100 yards away from her at all times. Ironically, it was Salomon’s father Rick who starred alongside Paris Hilton in the socialite's infamous sex tape.
Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department said the hotel heir was found inside Salomon’s Hollywood Hills home around 4 p.m. Monday and
taken into custody, the Los Angeles Times reported.
He was released shortly after the incident on $5,000 bail. Robert Shapiro, Hilton’s attorney, has yet to comment on the incident, according to the AP.
The incident is among the several other run-ins Hilton has had with the law recently.
In May, Hilton turned himself over to Riverside County authorities after leading police on a high-speed car chase and crash in Cathedral City last year. He was released on $100,000 bail almost immediately after being charged with the felony of recklessly evading a police officer. He has an upcoming
July 14 court date regarding the incident, according to the Times.
Paris Hilton’s brother also pleaded guilty to assaulting flight attendants and smoking marijuana in the bathroom on a London to Los Angeles British Airways flight last year. A federal court sentenced Hilton to three years of probation that includes drug tests, mental health treatment, and a
substance abuse program, CNN reported.
