Actress Constance Wu took to Twitter to protest Casey Affleck’s Best Actor Oscar Nomination for "Manchester by the Sea" Tuesday because of accusations that Affleck sexually harassed two women on the set of "I'm Still Here," a documentary about Joaquin Phoenix.

Affleck denied the allegations against him and settled with the women out of court for an undisclosed amount of money, Fox News reported. That didn’t stop Wu, star of ABC's “Fresh off the Boat,” from taking her comments further.

Wu went on to compare Affleck’s assumed win to President Donald Trump’s. She said she was counseled not to talk about the topic any further for the sake of her career, but said she wouldn’t stop because she’s a “woman and human first,” Fox News reported.

"Princess Diaries" actress Heather Matarazzo and other celebrities and fans tweeted their support for Wu, though some pointed out Affleck was not convicted of any crime.

When Affleck won a Golden Globe nomination, some said it signaled racism because Nate Parker’s “Birth of a Nation” did not get a nomination. Parker, who is black, was acquitted of rape in 2001.
