A video clip of a man saving a coyote that was ensnared in a barbed wire fence is drawing a collective "aw" from the Internet.
A Reddit user posted the video Wednesday. It's not clear when or where it was recorded, but it shows a man putting himself in an uncomfortable situation to free the trapped coyote.

Through the four-minute video, the man can be heard saying,
"Don’t bite me, OK?"
"I was glad to see it wasn't very much hurt, only a few drops of blood on the bar, it was just really entangled," one Redditor wrote.
"I think he or she is displaying submission, or is 'calm-submissive' as the Dog Whisperer might say," another posted. "He's a pack animal, has seen humans and knows they are not his predators, and is acting rationally. The guy's body language, words and tone convey his intent and the coyote accepts, having little option. Coyotes are wicked smart and that probably includes knowing when to submit."
One Redditor imagined how the coyote might repay the man one day in the future.
"I look forward to the story five years from now where this man twists his ankle while camping alone in the woods and can't move, can't call for help because he left his phone at the campsite," the person commented. "Then he is surrounded by a pack of ravenous coyotes ready to attack him. Suddenly this particular animal, who has risen over the years to be pack leader, shows up and gets them all to back down. Then the coyotes go fetch his backpack and bring it to him so he can call for rescue."
Earlier this summer, a Florida deputy helped
free a deer who had gotten a Doritos bag stuck on its head.
