'Curse of Chucky' With Jennifer Tilly Cameo Prolongs 25-Year Scare

Chucky, the murderous, demonic doll that started to create mayhem 25 years ago in the "Child's Play" movie franchise, returns in form of Blu-Ray/DVD on Oct. 8 in "Curse of Chucky," complete with a Jennifer Tilly cameo.

The Oscar-nominated actress, who played Tiffany in two of the most popular movies in the franchise, "Bride of Chucky" in 1998 and "Seed of Chucky" in 2004, is seen in a YouTube clip (below) shipping off the serial-killing doll to an un-expecting potential victim.

"She is helping him in his nefarious ways," Tilly told USA Today. "There are people he forgot to kill and he's a perfectionist. He will not stop. He's not going to stop painting the Sistine Chapel before he's finished. He's tying up loose ends."

Tilly, who was nominated for a best supporting actress Oscar for "Bullets Over Broadway," told USA Today that it was exciting to easy back into the Tiffany role, even if it was just briefly.

"It was really fun to drag out the push-up bra, the seven-inch heels and put on the blond wig again," said Tilly. "Every 10 years or so they let me make another Chucky movie. It's a fantastic moment when Tiffany materializes in the movie."

Brad Dourif, a character actor who has appeared in such movies as "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" and "Mississippi Burning," provides the voice of Chucky in the current version, according to IMDb.com.

Dourif's real-life daughter, Fiona Dourif, plays Nica, the girl who uncovers Chucky's newest plans for calamity.

The original "Child's Play" movie, released in 1988, made $44.1 million, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. All five movies in the franchise have made $176 million, adjusted for inflation.

Tilly is one-half of acting siblings, with her sister Meg Tilly, who starred in movies like "Fame" and "The Big Chill." Meg Tilly was also nominated for an Oscar as best supporting actress in 1986 for the film "Agnes of God," according to IMDb.com.

Tilly became known in another arena, becoming the first celebrity to win the Ladies no-limit Texas Hold 'Em event at the World Series of Poker in 2005, according to StarPulse.com.
