The maniacal redheaded doll is back in the trailer for "Curse of Chucky," the long awaited sixth installment of the horror franchise.
"Curse of Chucky" is intended to be a prequel to "Bride of Chucky," with Brad Dourif returning once again as the voice of the murderous toy.

"It has been a quarter of a century since fans were first petrified by Toyland’s most lethal serial killer in 'Child's Play,'" Glenn Ross, of Universal, said in a statement. "Now, 25 years later, the deadly legacy continues as Chucky resumes his disturbing reign of terror, delivering more of the blood-curdling scares and bone-chilling twists that have cemented his place as one of the world’s most legendary horror film icons."
The last film, 2004's "Seed of Chucky," failed to earn even $25 million at the box office worldwide, so it's no wonder the newest addition will be straight-to-DVD.
Still, fans of the Chucky movies are excited for the new release.
Chucky's appearance has come a long way since 1988's "Child's Play," something that fans will either love or hate.
"'Curse of Chucky' uses a mix of puppet animation and CGI, but the effects are
blended together impressively well," H. Shaw-Williams at ScreenRant.com writes. "The only thing about Chucky’s appearance that is slightly distracting is the change to the shape of his face. It has, however, been over 20 years since we last saw Chucky in his pre-Frankenstein-face days, so recreating the exact doll from the original three films was probably quite a challenge."
"Curse of Chucky" will be available through Video on Demand services Sept. 24, and on DVD Oct. 8.
