It was cyclone vs. shark in Australia and Debbie won. The Cat 4 storm was too much for a bull shark and it was left dead in a mud puddle near the beach in the north Queensland.
The shark was found beside a beachside road, stranded by receding flood water, reported News.com.
"He must've gotten caught in a torrent and confused, beached himself on the side of the road," said newsman Philip Calder. "We were pretty amazed, we were turning up to shoot a flooding road, we weren't expecting to see wildlife as well."
News.com said bull sharks are common in the area, and the nearby Burdekin River is known for bull sharks, turtles, and barracudas.
Queensland Fire & Emergency were among those to tweet about the losing bull shark as well.
Others compared the finding to the movie "Sharknado," the series of campy television movies that includes shark-filled tornados.
Cyclone Debbie hit northern Queensland as a Category 4 cyclone on Tuesday, reported the BBC News. Thousands were forced to leave their homes in northern New South Wales and southern Queensland for flooding fears, noted the BBC News.
