Daisy Ridley says she doesn't see herself continuing to play the role of Rey after the current "Star Wars" trilogy wraps up in 2019.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Ridley praised her experience becoming a "Star Wars" character, but said she doesn’t want to continue the role beyond the three movies she signed up for.

"For me, I didn’t really know what I was signing on to. I hadn't read the script, but from what I could tell, it was really nice people involved, so I was just like, 'Awesome,'" Ridley said. "Now I think I am even luckier than I knew then, to be part of something that feels so like coming home now."

"I am really, really excited to do the third thing and round it out, because ultimately, what I was signing on to was three films," she continued. "So in my head, it's three films. I think it will feel like the right time to round it out."

Ridley did leave the option open to do a reboot in 30 years like her predecessors Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher did — if the world lasts that long (she has doubts).

“I can’t think that far ahead,” Ridley told Rolling Stone, realizing she will be 55 in 30 years.

Ridley admitted in December’s issue of Elle that she didn’t think her acting was that good in “The Force Awakens,” which made her struggle while filming “The Last Jedi.”

Episode VIII, “The Last Jedi,” will hit theaters Dec. 15, and “Episode IX” is scheduled for release Dec. 20, 2019.

Twitter fans seemed sad about Ridley leaving the franchise, though some hoped she would reconsider.
