Bill Engvall, the country comedian whose never-waning passion and enthusiasm drew a cult following this season, was eliminated in the first part of the "Dancing With the Stars" finale Monday night, leaving just three celebrity dancers behind to battle for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy.

In an episode jam-packed with live musical performances and three rounds of dancing, the final four contestants were each tasked with preparing a routine of the judges' choice, a samba relay, and a freestyle.

In the first round, the judges selected a dance from earlier in the season that each contestant could improve upon.

The panel praised "Glee" star Amber Riley for her Charleston, which head judge Len Goodman said was "the most improved." She led the pack with three perfect 10s.

"High School Musical's" Corbin Bleu tried hard to show the right balance of control and attack in his quickstep with pro partner Karina Smirnoff, but the judges still felt the dance was lacking. Nevertheless, he received three 9s.

Jack Osbourne's nerves got the best of him in the first round. A sore ankle and back didn’t help and he "lost it early on" in his country jive, according to Goodman. Osbourne received three 8s.

Meanwhile, Engvall's timing on the Viennese waltz was off and the dance lacked musicality, but the judges loved his "warmth" and awarded him three 8s.

For the samba relay round, the dancers had to transition seamlessly on and off the dance floor to a live performance of "No Scrubs" by TLC. Everyone did well, but Bleu did the best and was awarded five extra points. Riley scooped up four, Osbourne three, and Engvall got two.

In round three, the dancers performed a freestyle, meaning they could choreograph any type of dance they wanted. Blue, Riley, and Osbourne all got perfect 30s from the judges, while Engvall received a 25 for his "Indiana Jones"-themed routine.

Though he had impressive support from viewer voters all season long, Engvall's low scores ultimately sent home.

"This has been a lifetime experience. I will never forget this," he told co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet at the end of the night.

The final three will face off Tuesday night at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
